Monterey Bay Property Management is a team of experienced professionals dedicated to overseeing residential rentals across the Monterey Peninsula—from cozy studios to luxury estates. Our mission is simple: to make property ownership rewarding while providing residents with an exceptional living experience. Founded by Managing Broker Jan Leasure, our company is recognized as a trusted resource for professional property management. Jan brings a rich background in education, holds multiple degrees, and is a respected speaker and expert witness in landlord-tenant matters. Under her leadership, we’ve built a reputation for excellence through deep community involvement, ongoing professional development, and a singular focus on rental property management.

Kerri Collins Bookkeeper

With over 30 years of experience in the property management industry, Kerri brings a deep understanding of both operations and financial oversight. She began her career in 1994 as an administrative assistant and quickly advanced to the role of full-charge bookkeeper, where her love of numbers and attention to detail truly shine. A proud lifelong resident of the Monterey Peninsula and graduate of Carmel High School, Kerri feels grateful to live and work in such a beautiful community. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, making the most of all that the Central Coast has to offer.

Roxanne Mettenbrink Client Services Coordinator

Roxanne serves as our Client Services & Operations Coordinator, bringing over a decade of real estate experience and a strong background in property management. Licensed since 2010, she has previously managed rental properties herself and understands the importance of clear communication, well-maintained documentation, and exceptional client service. At Monterey Bay Property Management, Roxanne plays a key role in organizing and maintaining our internal systems, ensuring that our documents are accurate, up to date, and compliant. She’s also a helpful resource for prospective clients, answering questions and providing information about our management services with professionalism and care. Known for her attention to detail and friendly approach, Roxanne helps keep our operations running smoothly while supporting both our team and the clients we serve.

Matt Collins Licensed Property Manager

With more than 20 years of experience in property management, Matt is known for his commitment to exceptional service and his ability to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues alike. He began his career in 2002 and spent a decade with the prestigious Pebble Beach Company, gaining valuable experience in customer service through roles in both the retail and golf sectors. These formative years sparked Matt’s passion for helping people and equipped him to navigate the ever-evolving challenges of property management.

Originally from San Francisco, Matt made the Monterey Peninsula his home in 1991 and has embraced all that the region has to offer. Outside the office, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two sons. A lifelong sports fan, Matt proudly supports the 49ers, Giants, and Warriors. He’s also an avid part-time golfer who appreciates living and working in a community renowned for its world-class courses.

Michael Wiederholt Licensed Property Manager

Michael is combines a strong background in leadership, analysis, and service to effectively manage long-term rental properties. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Iowa State University in 2008 and was commissioned into active duty in the U.S. Navy that same year. During his military career, Michael completed a master’s degree in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School and continues to serve in the Navy Reserve. Since joining the team in 2020, Michael has applied his analytical mindset, attention to detail, and dedication to service to every aspect of his work. Outside of property management, he enjoys time with his family, staying active through road biking and running, working in the yard, and following the NFL as an avid fan.

Kalisa Colton Licensed Property Manager

A third-generation Carmel native, Kalisa Colton brings a deep appreciation for the Monterey Peninsula and a strong commitment to serving its community. Kalisa is passionate about helping homeowners protect and grow their investments while providing tenants with a high-quality living experience. With a background in real estate sales and a natural eye for detail, she offers a strategic, client-focused approach to every property she manages. Outside of her professional life, Kalisa is dedicated to family and personal growth. She enjoys time with her adult son—who is pursuing a career in firefighting—and her two beloved dogs. In addition to her work in property management, Kalisa is deeply engaged in the healing arts. She is a certified End-of-Life Doula, grief tender, and a distributor of Crystal Tones™ sound bowls, offering sound baths that support healing, reflection, and peace during life's most significant transitions.

Kierstan Burritt Licensed Broker

Kierstan Burritt is a Broker-Associate at Monterey Bay Property Management, known for her commitment to providing exceptional service to both homeowners and tenants. A graduate of Paso Robles High School, she spent two years at Santa Barbara City College before relocating to the Monterey Peninsula in 2005 to attend California State University Monterey Bay on a golf scholarship. Since joining Monterey Bay Property Management in 2015, Kierstan has brought a strong work ethic, local market knowledge, and a client-first mindset to every aspect of her work. Her background in competitive sports continues to shape her focused, results-driven approach to real estate and property management.

Jan Leasure Licensed Broker

Jan is the founder of Monterey Bay Property Management. She has a bachelor's degree and two master's degrees in Education, and prior to entering the real estate field, taught at the secondary, undergraduate, and graduate levels. Jan speaks on real estate investment and property management at the local, state and national levels and frequently serves as an expert witness in legal cases related to landlord-tenant issues. She has established Monterey Bay Property Management as the “go-to” company for effective property management.

A large percentage of our current customers have come through the referrals of previous and current satisfied clients. Unlike many property management companies, the MBPM team does not sell real estate; therefore, we are never distracted from our core focus of managing residential rental property. The real estate sales community considers Monterey Bay Property Management to be its property manager of choice and its partner when it comes to meeting clients’ rental and property management needs. The Brokers and Property Managers at Monterey Bay Property Management are licensed by the State of California and belong to the Monterey County Association of Realtors, the California Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, the Monterey Bay Chapter of the National Association of Residential Property Managers, the California Apartment Association, and the Vacation Rental Managers Association. Involvement in these organizations and the community has led to the establishment of these licensees as the property management leaders in the Monterey Bay area. Other local property managers, housing providers, and tenants look to Monterey Bay Property Management as the model of property management practices.
